A London nightclub got put on blast for lying about the Weeknd on Twitter. DSTRKT was exposed after tagging the “Earned It” singer in an “about last night” tweet, with Karrueche Tran and race car driver Lewis Hamilton.
The Weekend is the U.K. right now, and his music
was apparently playing in DSTRKT, but that doesn’t mean he was in the
building. Once he called them out, the club clarified that the night featured “the sound of the the Weekend.”
DSTRKT’s Twitter blunder comes at a bad time for the night spot, which is being protested over allegations that Black club-goers were turned away for being “too dark.” A manager for DSTRKT denies the claim.
